Baklava with Pistachio-Turkish Dessert

Baklava with Pistachio:

Syrup:

  • 3 glasses of granulated sugar

  • 3 glasses of water

  • 1 tsp of lemon juice

Dough:

  • 2.5–3 glasses of flour

  • 0.5 tsp baking powder

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tea glass of water

  • 1 tea glass of milk

  • 1 teacup of oil

  • 2 teaspoons of grape vinegar

  • 1 pinch of salt

To open:

  • 1 cup of wheat starch

To drive:

  • 125 g of melted butter

Inner material:

  • 1.5 cups of coarsely crushed pistachios

For the above:

  • 1 Tablespoon of butter

Mold:

  • cooking Tray (30 cm)

Preparation:

Preparation of syrup:

  1. Put granulated sugar and water in a pot. Stir it over medium heat until the sugar dissolves and let it boil. When it starts to boil, add the lemon juice, turn down the heat and boil for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.

Preparation of the dough:

  1. Mix flour and baking powder and sift in a bowl. Add eggs, water, milk, oil, vinegar, and salt and knead it. Cover the dough and let it rest for 20 minutes.

Styling and cooking:

  1. Divide the dough into 30 pieces smaller than walnuts. Roll each piece into a ball. Roll out each ball 14-15 cm in diameter on the bench, sprinkled with starch. Put 5 dough on top of each other by sprinkling starch in between.

  2. Make 6 groups of 5 dough each. Take the first five dough and roll out to the size of the tray, sprinkling starch in between.

  3. Take it on a tray and spread butter on it. Roll out the second dough in the same way, put it on a tray, and apply butter.

  4. Roll out the third dough in the same way. Take it on the tray, spread the butter on it, and spread the whole pistachios.

  5. Prepare the remaining 3 batches of dough in the same way and place them on the tray by applying butter in between.

  6. Pre-open the oven to set the specified temperature and heat it up.

  7. Top and bottom cooking: 180 °C. Turbo cooking: 170 °C

  8. Cut the baklava in the tray into small slices with a knife. Leave the butter on low heat until it melts. Then remove it from the stove, spread it on the sliced ​​baklava with a spoon, and pour it all over. Bake on the middle shelf of the oven.

  9. Cooking time: Approximately 40–45 minutes

Syrup and serving:

  • Let the baklava come out of the oven stand for 5 minutes and pour the cold syrup you have prepared on it. Leave for 4–5 hours and serve. Buon appetito!
