Donuts in the Serbian way, very simple, quick, and easy. Tasty and soft, irresistible. Make sure you make them if you have the time, your guests, and family will be delighted. Follow recipe.
Dough yeast: easy, total time: 90 min
150 ml of milk
20 g of fresh yeast
1 teaspoon sugar and salt, leave for 20 min.
Put lukewarm milk mixed with yeast, salt, and sugar in a small bowl, and let it rise for about 15–20 minutes.
Donuts Serbian dough
During this time, you prepare the dough:

1 and 1/2 Tablespoons fat or margarine
3 egg yolks
1 lemon peel grated
1/2 tsp sugar
1/2 kg flour and more, add as much milk as the dough requires.
Margarine, mix well in a deeper plastic bowl. Then add 3 egg yolks, add lemon peel and a little sugar. Mix it all well then add dough yeast to the other dough, mix it well and then gradually add flour (add milk if the dough requires) beat the dough well with wooden spoon, until dough separates from the plastic. Leave the dough for standing 30 min.
Then make donuts molds and leave for another 20 min.
Pour a lot of oil into a deep pot. Wait for the oil to heat up well and then add them and bake, carefully turning to the other side with a fork. As soon as they turn nicely, take them directly to a slightly larger plate, when they are done and cool a bit sprinkle with sugar powder you can eat with jam, chocolate, the choice is yours.
