Dumplings without Potatoes

  • Wonderful, fantastic homemade dumplings without potatoes, an ideal solution if you don't have time. They are on the table in just 30 minutes, and make your housemates happy. Follow recipe.

Ingredients: simple, total time: 35 min.

Dough:

  • 300 g of plain flour

  • 500 ml of water

  • 1/2 tsp of salt

  • 50 g of butter or margarine

Filling:

  • 20 pieces of plums

  • 10 g of sugar

  • 10 g ground cinnamon

To Serve:

  • 100 ml of oil

  • 200 g of bread crumbs

  • 50 g of sugar

Preparation:

Dough:

  1. Pour the water into the pot on the stove. Add the butter and let it boil while stirring.

  2. Put the boiled mixture aside, add salt and flour. Mix everything well so that the flour is combined with the water. The dough must be thick.

  3. Turn the dough out onto a floured, flat surface. Make a square from the dough, sprinkle with flour and leave aside to cool.

Processing:

  1. Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Clean the skins from the plums.

  2. Take a plum and cut it along the long side.

  3. Roll out the dough, then form it into a square about the thickness of your finger. Cut into smaller squares, a little bigger than the plums. Take the dough and spread it a little in the palm of your hand, then insert the plum inside and the sugar mixed with cinnamon into the hole of the plum. Form the dumpling with your hands and palms. Repeat the process for the rest of the test. Pour a little salt into a pot of water and wait for it to boil. Lightly insert the dumplings into the pan and cook until they float to the surface, from that moment leave them for a few minutes, then use a large spoon to take them out onto a large tray. When you're doing it, make sure you have already prepared crumbs that you will quickly fry, as soon as the dumplings are put away.

  4. Heat oil in a pan.

  5. Throw in the bread crumbs and fry them until they get a golden brown color and then turn off the heat. Roll each dumpling evenly in crumbs and place on a serving plate.

  6. At the end, sugar the dumplings to taste, or use nuts, whipped cream or jam.

  • Dumplings, without potatoes. Very simple preparation and they are ready quickly. You can combine them with apricots and plums, and you can use sugar, comet, walnuts, whipped cream or jam as an addition after the crumbs. Follow recipe.

Dough:

  • 500 ml of water

  • 2 Tablespoons of oil

  • a pinch of salt

  • 500 g of sharp flour

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 baking powder/ 10 g

For Rolling:

  • breadcrumbs

  • sugar to taste

  • cinnamon to taste

  • whipped cream to taste

For Filling:

  • plums / or apricots, strawberries

Preparation:
  1. Boil 500 g of strong flour in boiling water and mix well!

  2. Add 2 eggs when slightly cooled – not too hot.

  3. Then add baking powder and mix everything well.

  4. Put the mixture on the work surface and roll out the dough, so that it is not too thick.

  5. Cut squares with a knife and place a cleaned plum in each. Shape the dumplings with your hands.

  6. Place a deeper pan with water, add a little salt, when it boils, add the dumplings and cook for about 10 minutes.

  7. Put 2–3 spoons of oil in the pan and wait for it to heat up on a slightly moderate heat, add the crumbs. Mix until they get a nice brown color, then add the dumplings and roll them well. Place on a tray, mix in the sugar and put a little cinnamon and roll the dumplings. You can also eat them with whipped cream, it all depends on the taste.
