Kuglof with Wine and Chocolate

  • A simple and delicious cake ideal for New Year's holidays with the addition of wine and dark chocolate. Follow recipe.

Ingredients: simple, total time: 60 min.
  • 250 g flour

  • 100 g of cocoa

  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 250 g softened butter

  • 200 g of sugar

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

  • 300 ml of red wine

  • powdered sugar

  • 50 g of dark chocolate

  1. Heat the oven to 180 °C, grease the kuglof mold with butter and a little flour. Mix the flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt in a medium bowl.

  2. In another bowl, mix the butter and sugar with a mixer until you get a foamy mixture. Then start gradually adding the eggs, one at a time, until they are well mixed into the mixture.

  3. Add the vanilla, beat for another 2 minutes.

  4. Alternately add the dry ingredients and the wine to the bowl until all the ingredients are well combined.

  5. Bake for about 45 minutes. Finally, cover the cake with dark melted chocolate. Leave the cake to cool, then sprinkle it with powdered sugar. Serve slices. Buon appetito!
