Ingredients: medium, total time: 1h 45 min. 1/2 cube of fresh yeast/25 g 2 eggs 40 ml milk 1 Tbsp sugar 1 teaspoon salt 3 Tablespoon oil 800–900 g flour Preparation: Activate the yeast in a small amount of warm milk with sugar and a little flour. Wait for 20 min. Whisk the eggs and add the remaining milk. Pour the yeast and the mixture with milk into the sifted flour, then knead the elastic dough. Divide the dough into 6 equal balls. Roll out four balls with a rolling pin the size of a baking sheet, and grease with oil. Arrange them one over the other, without the fourth. Cut them into 8 parts, starting from the middle, but not cutting to the end, to remain approximately 2 cm. Transfer each leaf of the triangle, which we cut, to the one next to it and fold it from below. From the second ball of dough, form a smooth ball and place it in the middle, for the center. Roll out the fourth with a rolling pin and cut it with a roller, which makes a grid. Place it over a smooth ball, for the center. In the beginning, leave the little dough aside, the size of a walnut, and make a cross out of it for decoration. Develop a small crust and cut across. Leave the bread on warm to rise. When it grows, coat it with egg yolk, sprinkle it with seeds, and bake it in a preheated oven at 170 °C, until the dough is baked. Check the dough with a toothpick to see if it is done. Ingredients: simple, total time: 60 min. 4 servings 350 g minced meat for Bolognese 100 g bacon pork cheek / diced 250 ml tomato juice 2 Tablespoons of tomato paste 400 gr spaghetti 1 stalk celery/ chopped 1 carrot/ finely chopped 150 ml meat broth 1 teaspoon thyme 1 teaspoon basil 1 teaspoon oregano 1 teaspoon ground red sweet pepper 2 Tablespoon extra virgin olive oil/ to cook pasta and bacon pepper, to taste salt to taste Parmesan cheese grated/for sprinkle Preparation: Start the first preparation of the sauce by chopping: the celery, onion, and carrot together in a blender, and set aside. Fry the diced bacon in a pan with little oil, 7-8 min. Put the fried bacon on the side. Put all the blended vegetables in a deep pan in the same oil where the bacon was fried. Simmer for about 5 – 7 minutes. After 7 minutes of stewing, add the minced meat. Cook about 15 minutes with occasional stirring. Add the tomato juice, tomato paste, meat broth, salt, pepper, oregano, basil, red ground pepper, thyme. Cook for 35 min. Be careful not to add too much salt because the bacon is already salty! 10 minutes before the end, put the bacon in the sauce stir, occasionally. A real Serbian traditional dish and everyone adores it, it is made from mixed meat and rice, my aunt's old recipe and I always stick to it, I recommend using lard for the powder if you have it. The taste is fantastic and everyone will like. Follow this delicious recipe. Ingredients: medium, preparation: 30 min, total time:1h 30 min, total time: 2h, 7 persons 1 egg 2 spoons of fat 10 medium bell peppers/ or 7 big 500 g of minced beef and pork 200 g rice 150 ml tomato juice 2–3 teaspoons ground red pepper 3 onions/ finely chopped 3 cloves garlic/ finely chopped 1 tsp salt 1 tsp pepper 1-2 tsp Vegeta/dry spice 1 Tablespoon fresh parsley 1. 5 Tablespoon flour Stuffed Bell Peppers Lena Preparation: Filling for peppers: Take a medium 10 bell peppers, wash it and clean it of stalks and seeds. In one pot, put the fat, fry 3 finely chopped onions, put pepper, and fry 500 gr. of minced beef and pork until all the water comes out. Then put 1 cup of rice 200 gr. and put ground red pepper, 1 clove garlic chopped, parsley leaves and mix everything well. When the mixture is ready, turn off the heat and put an egg and mix well with a spoon and set aside. Then filling 10 pieces of bell peppers and put them in a pot to cook until soft. When stuffing peppers, you can decorate them, where there was a stalk, with tomatoes or potatoes as you wish. I usually always use stuffed peppers, bacon that I cut into cubes, and dry ribs because it gives a very good taste to the dish. Be sure that when you pour water, the water is 2-3 cm lower than the peppers, because you need also a place for the sauce. Put in a pot also little peppers and dry spice for your taste. After 1 hour make the sauce in a special pan, put a little oil or fat. (I use fat, because, it is healthier) when the fat heats up, put half a spoonful of flour, add 2 cloves of garlic and stir it quickly until it turns yellow-brown. Work over medium heat add ground red sweet peppers and pour tomato sauce and mix it well for about 10 minutes. When it is ready, pour over the peppers with the sauce and finally add a little water and let it simmer over low heat, and cover it. Cooking is about 1h and 30 min. You can add a little parsley when is done. Buon appetito! NOTE: My peppers are huge, so one-half of my peppers are for one serving :) Stuffed peppers are very delicious, so you will enjoy them while eating them. This is a family recipe. When the water has boiled, add the spaghetti cook alla dente, (they are mostly cooked for 7-8 min. it says on the package.) When the spaghetti is ready, take out before 3 tablespoons of water where the spaghetti was cooked and put it with the mixture with eggs and Parmesan cheese, mix well. Spaghetti, drain well from the water. Turn on the pan where the bacon. Wait for it to heat up a bit, then add the filtered spaghetti. Ingredients: simple, total time: 75 min. 200 g flour type 400 2 bags of vanilla pudding burst 1 bag vanilla sugar/ or 1 Tablespoon 1 bag of baking powder/ 10 g or 1 Tablespoon / 125 g of sugar 150 ml of milk 125 ml of oil 4 eggs 100 g of cooking chocolate with 70% cocoa 300 g raspberries powdered sugar for sprinkling Preparation: Mix all the powdered ingredients—flour, sugar, vanilla, baking powder, pudding powder and add eggs, milk, oil, and mix everything with a mixer for 2 minutes. Add grated chocolate and raspberries to the mixture and mix lightly. Transfer to a 22 cm diameter coated kuglof mold and bake for 40-50 min. at a temperature of 180 °C. Depend on oven. They are very tasty, just to emphasize that when you make meat for meatballs, it is better to stand in the fridge for about 30 min. then you make meatballs. The mixture must be compact, if you find it quite gooey, feel free to add more pretzels. For these meatballs, I used mixed beef and pork, and for the tomato sauce, I used salsa tomatoes. Follow recipe. Ingredients: simple, total time: 40 min. 18 meatballs For Meatballs: 500 g minced beef meat/ or beef and pork 1 egg 1 onion/ finely chopped 3 cloves garlic/ minced 2 tsp bio dry spice Vegeta 1 Tbsp vegetable oil 1 tsp red ground paprika 1/2 tsp salt 2 tsp ground black pepper 2-3 Tbsp breadcrumbs 3 tsp fresh parsley/ or 1 full Tbsp fresh finely chopped For the Sauce: 100 ml oil 3 Tbsp flour 500 ml of tomato juice boiled 1/2 tsp dry spice Vegeta a pinch of salt and pepper 1 tsp sugar 1 Tbsp parsley leaves/ finely chopped 200 ml of water Meatballs in Tomato Sauce Lena Preparation: Meatballs: Finely chop the onion and garlic and mix them into the meat. Add one egg, pretzels, and other spices. Squeeze everything well with your hands. Shape the resulting mixture into small meatballs, and then fry them in oil. (you can roll the meatballs in flour if you like, this is optional as you wish before frying). When are the meatballs done, place them on a paper napkin to drain off the excess fat. Sauce: Fry a cup of oil 100 ml, with 3 Tbsp flour until the flour turns brown, add boiled tomatoes and stir to prevent lumps. Pour a little water into the mixture and cook for 2–3 minutes. Add little salt, dry spice/ Vegeta and sugar, stir well reduce heat to low and cook for another 10–15 minutes, covered. Add fried meatballs to tomato sauce. When is done put a finely chopped parsley, serve it as a side dish (potato, polenta, with pasta like Italians :) with these fabulous meatballs. Buon appetito!
