Gingerbreads on Serbian way Lena

  • The recipe is very simple to make. Soft and delicious, ideal for Christmas holidays. Follow recipe.

Ingredients: 60 min., very easy

Dough:

  • 250 g of honey

  • 300 g of wholemeal flour

  • 100 g brown sugar

  • 150 g chopped almonds

  • 1 small ground clove

  • 1 Tablespoon cinnamon

  • 1 grated lemon peel

  • 1 bag of baking soda/ 7 g

  • 1 g of salt

Fill:

  • 250 g of grated and drained apples

To Spread:

  • a little honey over each cookie

Preparation:
  1. Put 1 teaspoon of water in 200 g of honey and heat slightly to make it liquid.

  2. Add other spices flour and sugar and knead a smooth dough with a rolling pin and roll out to a thickness of 6 mm. Use a model to remove the heart-shaped molds. Put grated apples on each mold and fold with another mold and nicely combine and arrange in a baking tray set with baked paper at 180 °C until it gets a nice brown color. Biscuits warm, coat with honey and leave to cool.
