Delight in these beautifully soft cookies made without yeast. Enjoy them in either a sweet or savory variation. The preparation is straightforward and quick. Follow the recipe for details.
Ingredients: simple, total time: 30 min. 10 fritters
1 egg
1 cup of yogurt/ 200 ml
14 flat Tbsp of flour
1/4 tsp of salt
1/4 tsp of sugar
1/2 bag of baking powder/ 5 g
oil for frying
Preparation:
Whisk the egg using a hand whisk, then incorporate the yogurt, sugar, and salt. Finally, add the flour combined with the baking powder and mix thoroughly with a wooden spoon.
Allow the prepared dough to rest for 10–15 minutes before frying.
Pour approximately two fingers' depth of oil into the pan and heat it thoroughly.
Ensure the oil is well-heated by dipping a spoon into it, which will be used to transfer the dough from the bowl.
Scoop the mixture with a spoon and carefully drop it into the heated oil.
Fry the fritters on both sides until golden brown, approximately 3–4 minutes.
Remove them and place them on a dish lined with paper towels.
Allow the fried fritters to cool slightly before serving with yogurt or sour milk, along with jam and powdered sugar.
Buon appetito!
NOTE:
For a larger batch, simply double all the ingredients.
You may substitute yogurt with kefir or carbonated mineral water.
Store any remaining fritters in a lidded container or on a plate covered with a plastic bag.
They will keep for approximately 2 days.
