  • Elder flower contains flavonoids and carotene and vitamin C.

  • It is known that it cures flu, bronchitis, asthma, congested sinuses, blood purification, allergies, sneezing, measles, scarlet fever, shortness of breath, helps with initial tuberculosis and all rheumatic diseases, improves immunity, diabetes, and even constipation.

Ingredients:

Per 1 Liter of water:

  • 10–15 flowers/ the size of 2 fists spread apart from called

  • 600 g of sugar/ or to taste

  • citric acid

  1. Arrange the flowers in a deeper bowl and pour cold water, cover and leave to stand for 24 hours.

  2. Strain through gauze, add sugar and citric acid to taste and desire, then leave covered for another 24 hours, stirring occasionally. Put 5 bags of citric acid on 10 liters of water.

  3. Pour into clean and sterilized bottles with a metal lid, then arrange in a cold oven on a wire rack or baking sheet.

  4. Turn the oven to 90 °C and the timer to 90 minutes. Do not open the oven, leave it to cool in it overnight. In this way, sour winter can be pasteurized like cucumbers, for example.

  5. Sterilize the bottles either in the dishwasher or clean and dry the bottles in a cold oven and turn on at 100 degrees to gradually warm up and cool for an hour.

  6. Fresh mint, lemon and / or orange rings can be added to the flowers.

  7. This juice is drunk diluted with water, and you can also use mineral carbonated water to prepare the juice.
