    Original recipe from Vojvodina-Serbian Paprikash with Chicken Legs This is an original Vojvodina / Serbian stew, I usually make it differently and much richer, who don't have enough ingredients definitely can do it with this recipe. Follow recipe. Ingredients: easy total time: 90 min. 4 servings 2 kg of drumsticks 1 kg of onion/ finely chopped 2 teaspoons salt or to taste 1 teaspoon black pepper 4 top full spoons of sweet ground red pepper 1/2 teaspoon ground hot peppers to taste 1 Tablespoon fat 1 bunch parsley/ finely chopped 130 g tortellini stuffed with meat/I have also added tortellini to this because my husband loves them ;) Original recipe from Vojvodina-Serbian Paprikash with chicken legs Preparation: Chop the onion and fry it in fat at a low temperature, stirring occasionally. Fry on low heat, taking care not to burn, stirring occasionally and reducing the heat if necessary. When the onion softens and turns yellow, add the chicken drumsticks. Season with salt and pepper, add ground red pepper, and enough water to cover the meat by two fingers (2 cm). It is better to pour a little more water at the beginning, because it will certainly evaporate, rather than burning your meat. Cook for about 1 hour on low heat. The amount of liquid depends on whether you like to eat stew/stew with a spoon or a fork. Depending on the taste, you can make a more liquid broth, and cook noodles or dumplings in it immediately. The dough is always placed about 5-7 minutes before the end of cooking! (I always cook the dough separately and only then add it to the stew.) You can make your own dough balls for this paprikash, you will need 2 eggs, a little salt, 1 tsp dry parsley and about 7-8 spoons of flour. Cover the kneaded dough with a clean cloth and leave it in a warm place until it rises, about 30 min. Take out the dough with an oiled spoon and fry in heated oil. (Pre-dip the spoon in the oil to make it easier to remove the dough with another spoon. Donuts grow quickly and are fried in a very short time). You can eat these fritters both sweet and salty.     Cold Koh Our grandmothers used to make this dessert, the recipe is a summer fantasy because it is eaten cold and refreshing. The recipe is very simple and ready quickly. Follow recipe. Cake: 8 eggs/ separated 8 + 2 Tablespoons of granulated sugar 9 Tablespoons of wheat semolina 1 Tablespoon of flour Topping: 1.5 liter of milk 6 Tablespoons of sugar 3 bag vanilla sugar/ 30 g Caramel Topping as you wish: 200 g granulated sugar 200 ml sweet cream 50 g butter pinch of salt hand whisk Cold Koh Preparation: Cake: Turn on the oven to 200 °C to preheat. Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Beat the egg whites into a stiff foam. After that, gradually add 8 spoons of sugar (one at a time). Beat at a higher speed of the mixer, you should get solid snow. Set aside. Beat the egg yolks with 2 spoons of sugar and make a smooth and lighter mixture. After that, gradually add the 1/2 beaten snow to the egg yolks and gently mix with a spatula using the bottom-up technique. While adding egg whites, after half the amount, add semolina and flour. Mix it all well into a uniform mixture. Then add other 1/2 egg snow, stir well with spatula again. Take a 35 × 25 cm baking dish, coat it with oil and 1 spoon of flour, shake the dish and remove the excess flour. Pour the finished mixture, distribute it evenly and level it. Bake at 180 °C for about 20–25 minutes. Topping: While the cake is baking, pour the milk into a saucepan and heat it over low, moderate heat. Add 6 spoons of sugar to the milk, and vanilla sugar or aroma, hand stir. Take the milk off the heat as soon as it boils and let it cool while the koh is baked. Processing: As soon as the koh is ready, immediately pour milk over it with the help of a ladle. Spread the milk evenly over the cake. When you have poured all the milk, leave it to cool at room temperature, then move it to the refrigerator for a few hours to cool. Serve koh cake cold with added milk top over the cake. For Caramel Topping, as you wish: For caramelization, use a pan with a thicker bottom. Turn on the stove on moderate heat and gradually add sugar to the pot, when the sugar melts add the next spoonful and repeat until you have used 200 g of sugar. Make sure to shake the pot during cooking to get a golden brown color, do not stir! You can lift the pot off the stove and turn the pot around. When the caramel starts to smoke and smell, take it off the stove. Mix with a hand mixer and gradually add the sweet cream and mix at the same time. Mix until the ingredients are well combined. If you have some hard caramel left, return to the heat and stir, then remove from the heat. After adding the cream, add the butter cut into cubes and mix well, at the end add a pinch of salt and mix once more. Pour the finished caramel over the cooled cake.(pour when you have already poured the milk over). NOTE: After pouring milk and cooling, you can add caramel topping over the cake. Stir constantly for 5 minutes. Roll each piece in flour. Fry in a little oil on all sides until it is well browned. Put it on a kitchen towel to absorb excess fat. Mushroom Sauce : On moderate heat, fry the chopped mushrooms in the same pan, in a little oil and stir, cover the pan.
