Spicy Stew with Chicken

  • This is similar to Serbian Stew, but it is also spicy as Hungarians mostly consume it, the recipe is great and whoever likes to try it, will not regret it. Follow recipe.

Ingredients: medium, total time: 50 min., 4 servings
  • 2 chicken breasts/ diced

  • 2 carrots/ diced

  • root vegetables/parsnip, celery, green

  • 1 Tbsp parsley/ finely chopped

  • salt, paper/ turmeric, basil to taste

  • 1 onion/ finely chopped

  • 2 garlic/ finely chopped

  • 2 tomato/ diced

  • 2 potatoes/ diced

  • 2 hot peppers

  • cumin seeds to taste

  • 200 ml sour cream

Preparation:
  1. Recipe for spicy stew with chicken and potatoes. Fine and simple, the taste is perfect. The preparation does not take long, and I am sure that you will be really satisfied and that the recipe will one day serve as an idea for a quick lunch.

  2. Clean the chicken breast from the bones.

  3. Put the bones to cook for 30 minutes, together with carrots, root vegetables, parsley leaves in 1.5 liters of water.

  4. Cut the breast into medium-sized pieces, add salt, pepper, turmeric, a little oil, and mix everything well in a deep bowl.

  5. Sauté the onion and garlic for about 7–8 minutes, add the pre-marinated chicken breast and continue to cook for a few minutes.

  6. After that, add ground sweet pepper, fry for 2 minutes, then add tomatoes, basil and continue stirring for a while. After 30 minutes, add diced potatoes, hot peppers and a mixture of spices or salt and caraway seeds.

  7. Add the strained soup in which the chicken bones were cooked and chop the vegetables and add to the pot.

  8. Cook for 25 minutes on medium heat. When the potatoes are soft, the hot soup is ready and ready to serve.

  9. If desired, add sour cream to the plate over the dish, preferably homemade, it's a really delicious combination. Buon appetito!
