Wash the leek and cut it into thin sticks. For each portion, take a large piece of foil. Fold it in half to get two layers of foil. Coat the middle of the foil with a little oil, and put a little leek in the middle to make a base for the fillets as a nest, add a little salt to the hake fillets portion. If you are in a hurry, 3 minutes in the microwave should do the job, otherwise heat the milk in a pan. Next, add a pinch of nutmeg. Add the salt. Stir. Put the butter into a saucepan, on a gentle heat, and melt it. Once the butter has melted and starts to bubble, gradually add the flour, whisking constantly. Whisk until all the flour is coated with the butter and the paste achieve a sandy texture (technically, this is called a white roux). This operation should last a couple of minutes. Next, let the roux cool down because it is not good practice to add hot milk to a hot roux (risk of burning and the mixture would become too lumpy). When the roux and the pan have cooled down, return the pan to the fire and gradually add the milk. Meanwhile, keep whisking. Once you are sure that the roux is completely mixed with the milk and no lumps are present, turn the heat down to low and gently stir. Keep stirring gently until the sauce thickens. Then, you can remove the pan from the heat and set it aside (for a perfectly smooth sauce, pass the sauce through a strainer). Your béchamel sauce is now ready. Mushrooms preparation: Finely chop the onion and garlic, do the same with the primrose, also cut the mushrooms into thin slices. In a medium, deep pot, pour 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Put the onion to fry a few minutes. When the onion has a glassy wire look, add the mushrooms, cover the pan, and wait for all the water to come out of the mushrooms. Then add butter and chopped garlic, all that stir well. Add salt and pepper to taste. Then add béchamel sauce and stir everything well over low heat. Česnica Dry Pie with Walnuts (Serbian Cake that is made before Christmas) Česnica cake is made on the Eve of Christmas in Serbia. Even a coin is put in the cake and whoever finds it will bring him luck, the ingredients are made of walnuts and the bark can be said to be a dry pie. It's very tasty and easy to make. Follow recipe. In my case, the usable dimension of the tray is 25×35 cm, and the width of the crust corresponded to the length of the tray. Now count the crusts and divide them into groups of 3. In my case, there were 11 crust for three crusts groups and 2 crust for top. Accordingly, lightly divide the walnuts so that you have enough of them for everything except the last 2 crust. Strudel with Poppy Seeds and Raisins Poppy seed strudel is a traditional Vojvodina ( Serbia) dessert, a cake that everyone loves, one of my favorite desserts. It can also be made next to poppies with walnuts and the addition of raisins, and carob is one of the healthiest foods that is rich in minerals and vitamins. Follow recipe. Ingredients: 2 strudels, cup 200 ml. simple, total time: 120 min. 600 g poppy seeds 100 g of raisins 700-800 g of flour 1 cube of yeast/ 42 g 300 ml of milk 1 whole egg 2 egg yolks grated 1 lemon peel 100 ml oil 1 teaspoon salt * For the Dough: 4–5 Tablespoons of sugar * For the Poppy seeds Filling : 6 Tablespoons of sugar and 170 ml milk Preparation: Dough: Stir the yeast in a little milk, add a 1 teaspoon of sugar,1 teaspoon of flour. Tripe Lena I adore tripe and I love that taste, it cannot be said that it is a traditional Serbian dish, it is made by Hungarians, Bulgarians, and Romanians. Also, Italians eat it. You need to know how to do this, and it is not easy. I always make it according to this recipe and the taste is fantastic. It can be eaten with boiled potatoes or with polenta. After cooking the tripe for the past 10 minutes, throw out the water and add a new water, cook for 10 minutes again. Meanwhile, prepare the rest. It can be made in several ways and one of them is in this recipe, combined with raisins, dried fruit, candied fruit, cocoa, chocolate, and fruit etc. I personally adore it and always make it on winter days and on festive occasions. Ingredients: simple, total time: 75 min. 8 servings 3 eggs/ room temperature 200 g of sugar 2 bags of vanilla sugar/ 20 g or 1 flat spoon of vanilla paste 250 ml oil 375 ml of milk + 1 Tbsp 450 g of flour 1 bag of baking powder/ 10 g 15 g cocoa Preparation: Beat eggs, room temperature and gradually add sugar. Stir until you get a thick and light mass, and finally add the vanilla.
