Fish in Foil

Updated: Mar 11

  • Quick preparation of fish in the oven, in a simple and Mediterranean way, in its juicy juices. You can use any fish this way. Low calorie, and very easy. Follow this simple recipe.

Ingredients: simple, total time: 45 min., 4 servings
  • 4 hake fillet

  • 1 piece leek/ finely chopped

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 2 g teaspoon pepper

  • 2 cloves garlic/ finely chopped

  • 1 Tbsp parsley leaves/ finely chopped

  • 2 Tbsp olive oil

  • 20 g butter

Preparation:
  1. The fish in foil is prepared in the following way: take fish fillets, I have used hake, but you can also use catfish or trout fillets

  2. Cut the fish into pieces of the desired size, salt it, and pepper it on both sides.

  3. Wash the leek and cut it into thin sticks.

  4. For each portion, take a large piece of foil. Fold it in half to get two layers of foil. Coat the middle of the foil with a little oil, and put a little leek in the middle to make a base for the fillets as a nest, add a little salt to the hake fillets portion.

  5. Put some more prepared leeks over the fish, sprinkle with finely chopped garlic and finely chopped primrose leaves.

  6. Drizzle the fish with a little more olive oil, you can add a little piece of butter.

  7. Fold the foil and close it well on all sides with the edges raised upwards so that the liquid does not leak out.

  8. Place the prepared fish in foil in an oven preheated to 220–250 °C and bake it for 15 minutes, then carefully open the foil and return the fish to bake for another 10 minutes.

  9. Serve the finished fish in foil warm with a side dish of your choice. Buon appetito!

NOTE: The strength of the oven depends on how strong your oven is, if it is strong, put it at 220 °C, and if it is weak, turn it on at 250 °C. You can use also sea fish or freshwater fish, how wish you like.
