Corn Bread with Philadelphia

  • This is tradition Serbian appetizer. It is ideal for breakfast or dinner and is also very healthy, you can consume it with various coatings and some ham next to it. It is easy to prepare and ready quickly, you will have a healthy meal on the table in just half an hour. Corn flour is extremely healthy and should be consumed as much as possible. This salty cornmeal pie is also a substitute for bread. Follow recipe.

Ingredients: casserole : 40×25 cm, want very easy, total time: 45 min, 10 servings
  • 200 g Philadelphia

  • 1 sachet of baking powder/10 g

  • 150 ml of yogurt

  • 100 ml mineral water

  • 150 ml of oil

  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 3 eggs

  • a little sesame to sprinkle/optional

  • 200 g of cornflour

  • 200 g flour

Preparation:
  1. Stir in all the ingredients first, leave and add the cheese, the mixture must be a little more liquid as creamy. Pour the mixture into a greased pan and bake at 200 °C for about 10 min. then reduce temperature to 180 °C 20–25 minutes. Check the dough with a toothpick.

  2. When done, cover with a clean cloth and leave to cool for 10–15 minutes and serve.

  3. This meal is ideal for breakfast or dinner and is also very healthy, you can consume it with various coatings and some ham next to it. Buon appetito!

NOTE: If you want a thicker dough, use a 35×20 cm bowl. I have used 45×25 cm. Then bake it a little longer and check the dough with a toothpick.
