## Perfectly Fluffy Steamed Rice Recipe
To achieve perfectly steamed rice, rinse 1 cup of long grain rice until the water is clear. Cook it covered in 1.5 to 2 cups of water over low heat for 15-20 minutes without stirring.
Alternatively, you can use a steamer or strainer placed over boiling water for 15-20 minutes until the beans are fully swollen.
Key tips for steamed rice:
Rinsing:
Be sure to rinse the rice several times to remove the starch.
Water ratio:
For long-grain white rice, use 100g of rice per 270ml of water.
Brown rice:
Requires 360ml of water per 100g of rice and cooks for 35-40 minutes.
Cooking in a pot:
If you are steaming rice in a pot, the water must not touch the rice, but only produce steam.
Spices:
You can add olive oil and a few drops of lemon for a better aroma.
