Ingredients: simple, total time: 25 minutes, 2-4 serving
12 Scallops
150 g breadcrumbs
1 /4 tsp of black pepper
1 /2 tsp salt/ or to taste
150 ml Olive oil EVO
1 lemon peel grated
1.5 Tbsp fresh parsley/or dry parsley to taste
1/2 tsp thyme /optional
Preparation:
Thoroughly clean the scallops, separate the upper part, and remove the shells.
Carefully detach the meat using a knife and place it on a plate.
Rinse the interior of the shell and set it aside.
Combine breadcrumbs in a mixer with oil, salt, pepper, aromatic herbs, parsley, marjoram, thyme, and grated lemon zest.
Mix thoroughly to achieve a moist and flavorful consistency that is not too dry.
Arrange the scallops on a tray with the shell side down, fill them with the breadcrumb mixture, and place the shellfish in the center.
Bake in a preheated oven with ventilation at 190°C for approximately 15 minutes, or until a golden crust forms.
Your scallops au gratin are ready to be served.
Present them as an appetizer with a slice of bread, lemon, and a drizzle of olive oil.
Buon appetito!

NOTE:
If you like less breadcrumbs, then add 100 grams and more oil. I personally like the taste of breadcrumbs and shellfish.
