Country style Pizza

  • Country Pizza is the way to make it yourself at home in a similar Italian way as in a pizzeria. The dough is prepared quickly and simply, it is an ideal meal for the evening hours if you have guests. To make this pizza you will need flour, yeast, water, oil and for fillings of your choice. Follow recipe.

Ingredients: simple, total time: 1h 40 min.

Dough:

  • 450 g smooth flour

  • 5 g dry yeast

  • 5 g sugar

  • 250 ml lukewarm water

  • 50 ml oil

Sauce:

  • 200 g tomato sauce

  • 50 ml olive oil EVO

  • 5 g salt

  • 1 tsp dried oregano

Filling:

  • 300 g Italian prosciutto/ thin sheet and boiled

  • 250 g grated mozzarella

  • 10 black olives

  • arugula or basil to taste

  • 50 g mushrooms/ cut into leaves

  • 50 g spicy sausages/ optional

Preparation:

Dough:

  1. In a large bowl, combine lukewarm water, yeast, and sugar, then mix. Add oil and gradually incorporate flour, kneading until a smooth dough is formed.

  2. Once the dough is smooth, cover it and let it rest for approximately 1 hour.

  3. Transfer the dough onto baking paper and spread it out by hand, ensuring the edges remain thicker.

  4. Ensure the dough is sized to fit your oven tray.

  5. Prepare the pizza sauce by mixing all the ingredients as described, and spread it evenly in a thin layer.

  6. Evenly distribute thinly sliced prosciutto over the entire surface.

  7. Arrange the mushrooms and olives according to preference.

  8. Sprinkle mozzarella evenly over the top.

  9. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 °C for approximately 12–15 minutes.

  10. Once the pizza is ready, sprinkle with arugula and serve warm.

  • You are not required to use all the ingredients for the filling if you prefer not to. You may substitute them with other ingredients such as egg, artichokes, bacon, or a salami of your choice.
