Savor the delectable, tender pork chops in a flavorful sauce, prepared swiftly and effortlessly. With just a handful of common ingredients, you can create a delightful family meal. These ingredients are likely already in your kitchen. Simply follow the recipe.
Ingredients: simple, total time: 35 min., 3 serving
1/2 kg pork steaks
2 Tbsp of flour
1 Tbsp of red ground paprika
2-3 Tbsp Olive oil EVO
salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp dry spice Vegeta to taste
1 clove of garlic/ minced
170-220 ml water as needed
Preparation:
Thoroughly wash the steaks and pat them dry with a kitchen towel. Season to taste with pepper, salt, and Vegeta.
Combine flour and red ground sweet pepper on a plate, and coat one side of the steak with the mixture. Reserve the remaining mixture in a cup for potential use the following day.
Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
Place the steaks in the pan with the floured side down to begin cooking.
Once the steaks are browned on one side, flip them to cook the other side until it achieves a golden brown color.
After both sides are browned, add 150 ml of water to cover the steaks, and avoid turning them further. For more sauce, you may add 220 ml; typically, I use about 170 ml.
Continue cooking for approximately 10–15 minutes over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
Add chopped garlic after 5 minutes of cooking.
Cover the pan and gently scrape the bottom with a wooden spoon to mix the sauce, ensuring not to turn the steaks.
Once the sauce has thickened, remove from heat.
Serve with mashed potatoes.
Buon appetito!
NOTE:
If you find yourself without steak sauce, the following day, use the same pan where the steaks were stored overnight. Add a small amount of olive oil and heat it. Incorporate 1 clove of chopped garlic and sauté for approximately one minute. Then, introduce 1 tablespoon of flour mixed with ground red pepper, cook for a few minutes, and add about 150 ml of water, adjusting as necessary to achieve the desired consistency.
If a larger pan is unavailable, partially cook the steaks and set them aside on a plate. Once the final steaks are cooked, return them all to the pan, cover with water, and continue cooking as per the recipe instructions.
Store the steaks in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
