Savor the delectable oven-baked chicken breast, filled with cheese and cooked ham. This dish is both quick and easy to prepare. We highly recommend trying this recipe.
Ingredients: simple, total time: 55 min, 4 serving
2 chicken breast/ cut into 4 pieces — 1.2 kg
2 Tbsp of sour cream
6 of cheese sheets
8 thin sheets of ham/ or dry neck, or prosciutto
100 g of grated Gouda cheese
2 tsp dry spice Vegeta to taste
1 tsp black pepper to taste
3-4 cloves of garlic/chopped/ optional
3 Tbsp Olive oil EVO
1 full tsp red ground pepper to taste
1 Tbsp of soy sauce
Preparation:
Cut each chicken breast into two pieces, ensuring they are free from cartilage and bones.
Create a deep incision in the meat to form a pocket, taking care not to cut through completely.
Season the chicken thoroughly, both inside and out, with Vegeta dry seasoning and ground black pepper.
Spread sour cream inside each piece and add a chopped garlic clove.
Insert folded ham and cheese slices, ensuring they overlap with the top portion of the meat. Use two slices of ham and half a slice of cheese per piece.
Make several small incisions in the meat with a knife.
Secure each chicken breast using a toothpick.
Lightly grease a baking dish with oil.
In a small bowl, combine red ground pepper and soy sauce, then apply this mixture to the top of the chicken breast.
Sprinkle a generous amount of grated cheese on top of each piece.
Bake at 200 °C for approximately 40–45 minutes until golden brown, extending the time if necessary. Cover with aluminum foil 10 minutes before completion if needed.
Remove the toothpicks from the meat prior to serving.
Serve with mashed potatoes and a choice of salad or grilled vegetables.
Buon appetito!
NOTE:
Keep the rest covered in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
