Fried Sea Bream

  • Prepare a nutritious Mediterranean dish with sea bream, cooked simply and swiftly. This healthy meal is ready in just 20 minutes. Required ingredients include sea bream, flour, starch, ground pepper, Vegeta dry seasoning, salt, pepper, garlic, oil, and lemon. The result is a delicious meal. Follow the recipe for best results.

Ingredients: simple, total time: 25 minutes., 4–6 serving
  • 4 pieces sea bream fish

  • salt and pepper to taste

  • 2 tsp red ground paprika

  • 5 Tbsp flour

  • 1 Tbsp corn starch

  • 2 tsp dry spice Vegeta

  • 3-4 Tbsp Olive oil EVO

  • slices of lemon


For Topping:

  • 2 cloves of garlic/ minced

  • 1 Tbsp fresh parsley/ finely chopped

  • 1/4 slice of lemon juice

  • 100 ml Olive oil

Preparation:
  1. Rinse the fish thoroughly, remove any scales if present, make an incision along the belly, and detach the head. The fish should resemble a steak in appearance.

  2. Make 3 to 4 slits on the skin with a knife on both sides.

  3. Season to taste with salt, pepper, and Vegeta dry seasoning, then set aside.

  4. Prepare the topping for the sea bream.

  5. Combine olive oil, lemon juice, and garlic, and set aside.

  6. In a shallow dish, mix together flour, ground paprika, starch, and a small amount of pepper.

  7. Lightly oil a frying pan and heat over moderate heat. Add two pieces of fish to the hot oil.

  8. Fry for approximately 5 to 7 minutes on each side, until golden brown. I fried the flesh side for about 5 minutes and the skin side for about 8 minutes to achieve a slightly crispy texture.

  9. Serve warm with Swiss chard and boiled potatoes, or with baked potatoes.
