Breaded Sardines

  • Prepare breaded sardines efficiently and effortlessly, ready in just 25 minutes. This recipe requires sardines, eggs, a small amount of milk, salt, flour, and breadcrumbs. Follow the instructions for a successful dish.

Ingredients: simple, total time: 30 min. 3-4 serving
  • 500 g sardines

  • flour as needed

  • breadcrumbs as needed

  • 2 eggs

  • 50 ml milk

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • slices of lemon

Preparation:
  1. Slice the sardines along the belly and open them flat.

  2. Place flour on a plate.

  3. Prepare another plate with breadcrumbs.

  4. In a deeper plate, combine eggs, salt, and milk, and mix thoroughly.

  5. Coat each sardine with flour on all sides, then dip into the egg mixture, allowing excess to drain, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.

  6. Heat oil in a large frying pan until hot.

  7. Fry the sardines in batches, turning until they are golden brown.

  8. Transfer the fried sardines to a kitchen towel to remove excess oil.

  9. Serve with slice of lemon potato salad or with Swiss chard and potatoes.
