## Grandma's Citrus-Infused Waffle Recipe: A Delightful Breakfast Treat
Here is a straightforward and efficient recipe for Grandma's waffles, enhanced with a hint of lemon or orange flavoring. Required tools and ingredients include a waffle maker, a waffle iron, a ladle, eggs, flour, sugar, milk, a small amount of oil, vanilla sugar, a touch of baking powder, and lemon or orange zest. Ingredients: cup measure 200 ml, simple, total time: 25 min.
1 cup flour
1 cup of granulated sugar
1 cup of milk
1/2 cup of oil
2 eggs
1 bag baking powder/ 10 g
1 tsp vanilla sugar/ or 1 tsp vanilla extract
pinch of salt
1 grated lemon peel/ or orange - optional
Preparation:
First, separate the whites from the yolks.
In a deep bowl, beat egg yolks, sugar and vanilla sugar with a mixer until foamy and smooth.
When it became lighter, add milk, oil and beat briefly.
Add lemon peel and a pinch of salt, mixed flour with baking powder and mix everything well.
In another bowl, beat the egg whites until foamy, then gradually add 20 g of sugar, beat until stiff.
Mix it all well with a spatula.
Now grease the waffle maker and wait for it to heat up.
With the help of a ladle, pour the mixture evenly and cover, bake until golden brown for about 2–3 minutes.
Take out the waffle with the help of a knife and arrange them in a deep dish.
You can serve them with jam, honey, sugar, fruit syrup with some desired fruit, chocolate glaze.
