Braised Chicken Meat with Broccoli and Cauliflower in Italian Way

  • A very tasty and healthy meal in the light style of the summer variety, which means a bit of everything, and you have taken in all the necessary vitamins during the day. Juicy and fragrant with delicious chicken white meat and fantastic vegetables, herbs with addition of cheese. I'm not one of those people who resort to a diet and avoid certain foods that are necessary for your body. Follow recipe.

Ingredients: simple, preparation: 30 min, total time: 90 min, 4 serving
  • 1 small cauliflower/ cut in small flowers/250 g

  • 1/2 head broccoli/ cut in small flowers/500 g

  • 2 Tbsp Olive oil EVO

  • 550 g chicken white meat/ cut in small cubes

  • 100 g smoked bacon/ cut in small cubes

  • 2 teaspoon red ground pepper

  • 1 teaspoon red-hot crushed pepper/ optional

  • 15 pieces cherry tomatoes/ cut oh cubes or half

  • 1 fresh red pepper/ cut in cubes

  • 1 green/ cut in cubes/ cut in cubes

  • 240 g grated Trappist/ or Gouda, Edam, Mozzarella, cheese

  • 1 teaspoon dry weed dill/ or fresh 2 teaspoons

  • 1 Tablespoon fresh parsley/ or 1 teaspoon dry parsley

  • 1 head onion/finely chopped

  • 2–3 cloves of garlic/ finely chopped

  • salt and black pepper to taste/ for chicken meat

  • 150 ml rice/ washed few times/under the stream of water

  • 260 ml water

  • Wok big and deep pan Chinese

Preparation:
  1. Prepare all the ingredients as described above.

  2. Pour water into a medium pot, when the water boils, add 1/2 teaspoon of salt, cook the prepared broccoli and cauliflower for 1 minute and strain the water well, then set aside.

  3. Season the cubed chicken with salt and pepper to taste, sprinkle with red ground pepper and stir well. Fry the meat in a little oil on a slightly moderate heat, until it turns golden brown about 15 min., with occasionally stirring then put it on a plate, set aside.

  4. In the same wok, add 1 tablespoon of oil, fry the onion until it has a glassy appearance, stir occasionally. Then add the diced bacon, fry until it becomes transparent with constant stirring. Immediately after that, add the chopped garlic, as soon as it starts to smell, add the chopped red and green diced pepper and tomatoes, with stirring occasionally and covered. After 15 minutes of stewing, add chicken diced meat, broccoli and cauliflower flowers, hot crushed pepper, and a little seasoning. Stir everything well and cover wok, cook for about 15 minutes, with stirring occasionally. After that, add rice and cook for about 20 minutes while adding water gradually. Sprinkle the ingredients with a little weed dill, and stir well all ingredients. When the rice has softened, add grated cheese over all the ingredients, cover again, and let it simmer for about 7 -8 minutes. Do not stir the cheese, but wait for it to melt over the ingredients. Leave to cool about 10 minutes.

  5. Cut into portions, serve warm in shallow plates!

NOTE: Don't add too much salt, because bacon is already salty. Mostly always control the taste. In this meal, I have used Edam cheese also hot crushed red pepper. You can make both dishes without cheese and without rice, and cooking will take less time. Consume the dish until the next two days!
