Ingredients and Their Benefits
  • These cookies are packed with crunchy muesli, which adds a delightful texture and a wealth of nutrients. Muesli is typically a blend of rolled oats, nuts, seeds, and dried fruits, providing a good source of fiber, vitamins, and minerals that are essential for growing children and health-conscious adults alike.

Hazelnuts, another key ingredient, are not only delicious but also rich in healthy fats, antioxidants, and vitamin E. They contribute to heart health and can help improve cholesterol levels, making them a fantastic addition to any diet. Furthermore, bananas lend natural sweetness to the cookies while also offering potassium and other vital nutrients. The natural sugars found in bananas make these cookies a healthier alternative to traditional sugary snacks.

Preparation Process
  • You will be amazed at how quickly you can prepare these cookies. In just 20 minutes, you can have a fresh batch ready to enjoy. The simplicity of the recipe allows you to involve your children in the cooking process, turning it into a fun and educational activity. They can help mash the bananas, mix the ingredients, and even shape the cookies, making it a great opportunity for family bonding.

Texture and Flavor
  • Once baked, the biscuits achieve a perfect balance of softness and crunchiness, providing a delightful eating experience. The combination of the chewy muesli and the nutty flavor of hazelnuts creates a harmonious blend that is both satisfying and nourishing. Each bite is a treat, reminiscent of premium wellness products that you might find in health food stores, but made right in your own kitchen.

Versatility and Variations
  • These cookies are not only delicious but also incredibly versatile. You can customize the recipe by adding different nuts, seeds, or even a sprinkle of cinnamon to enhance the flavor. You might consider incorporating dried fruits like cranberries or apricots for an extra burst of sweetness and nutrition. This flexibility allows you to cater to your family's preferences and dietary needs.

Conclusion
  • In summary, this cookie recipe is an excellent way to provide a healthy snack option that everyone in the family can enjoy. Preparation:
  1. Peel the bananas, cut on rings and mash them with a fork or blender.

  2. Blend crunchy muesli, then add to the mashed bananas.

  3. Stir with spoon until the mixture is well combine.

  4. Then add ground hazelnuts, baking powder and vanilla sugar.

  5. Cinnamon is optional. For me is better combination with dried apples, I didn't add it, because my muesli Is with raspberries. (You can also add dried fruits: raisins, cranberries, apples, apricots, peaches, or other dried fruits you like.)

  6. Put baking paper on the tray.

  7. Stir the mixture once more. The mixture must be a little gooey. Use a spoon to take out the mixture. Shape it into round cookies with hands and arrange it at a distance of about 2 cm. It must be thick 5 mm and diameter 4-5 cm. Do not overfill the spoon, keep it flat.

  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 °C, with fan, for about 12–13 minutes. When the biscuits are golden brown, they are ready!

  9. Let them cool on a tray, uncovered ! Do not sprinkle with sugar!

  10. Serve with a hot drink, white coffee or tea. Enjoy in these wellness cookies snacks!

Buon appetito!

NOTE:
  • With this recipe, you can also combine other dried fruits with crunchy muesli. For a larger quantity, just double the quantity! You don't need to keep them closed in boxes! Don't sugar them because the point is these cookies are healthy and sweet enough without it! Instead of crunchy muesli, you can also use oat flakes!
