Dark Biscuits with Cognac

  • These biscuits are specific, they have a bitter, herbaceous, sweet and salty taste. Very interesting combination of all these ingredients and are very tasty, they are famous and come from Sardinia. It is a very simple preparation. Follow recipe.

Ingredients: simple, total time: 35 standing time: 30 min. 24 biscuits
  • 80 g butter/ diced

  • 20 g + 40 g sugar powder

  • 30 ml of cognac

  • 1/2 teaspoon of natural vanilla aroma

  • 125 g flour

  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon

  • 15 g corn starch

  • 1 teaspoon of nutmeg powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon of flaked salt

Preparation:
  1. Prepare all the ingredients from the description above. Mix the chopped butter with 20 g of powdered sugar, then add the liqueur and vanilla, mix the ingredients with a mixer at low speed. In another bowl, mix flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, cornstarch flaked salt Then gradually add to the butter mixture, until you get a consistent mixture. Roll the dough into a roller with a diameter of 3 cm, put it in foil and leave it in the fridge to rest for about 30 minutes.

  2. Turn on the oven to 180 °C. Take a baking tray and place baking paper on it. After the spinning time, take the dough and a sharp knife, and cut into 5 mm biscuits, there should be about 24 pieces. After that, arrange them at a distance from each biscuit, bake for about 15 minutes.

  3. When the biscuits are ready, take them out of the oven and let them cool. Sprinkle them with powdered sugar. Serve.

  4. Cover the rest of the biscuit in an airtight box and serve for the next 3–4 days. Buon appetito!
