Serbian Traditional Salad

  • They say that this salad originates from Bulgaria. However, I do not have that feeling how much Serbs use it, it has become a constant and popular salad in every region. We have accepted it as our traditional refreshing salad. This salad goes with every dish from the grill and appetizers, it is very tasty and refreshing. It is one of my favorite salads that I often use in almost all my dishes and I recommend it to everyone because it is full of vitamins and in summer it invigorates and gives us strength. Here is the original recipe that I will share with you and how it is prepared. Follow recipe.

Ingredients: simple, total time: 20 min.
  • 3 tomatoes

  • 2 medium cucumber

  • 1 onion

  • 1 pepper (may or may not)

  • 1/2 green hot pepper

  • 1 teaspoon primrose

  • grated greasy white cheese

  • salt to taste

  • a bit of olive oil

  • a little vinegar

Preparation:
  1. Cut all the vegetables into small cubes except the tomatoes, which you will divide into half slices. Peel a squash, grate it and cut it into thin slices.

  2. When you have finished chopping, now put all the vegetables in a deep salad bowl, and salt and sprinkle with a little olive oil and mix the vinegar well with two tablespoons. Now take the greasy white cheese and grate it over the salad and sprinkle with a little fresh parsley leaf. Serve cold salad with other dishes. Buon appetito!
