I love this apple crumble cake and make it regularly. The dough is crumbly and the filling is made from apples, which is quick to make. You will not need many ingredients for this recipe, and it is very economical and everyone has it at home. Follow recipe.
Ingredients: simple, total time: 70 min. 10 serving
Filling:
2 medium apples/peeled and grated
2 Tbsp lemon juice
2 Tbsp granulated sugar
1 bag vanilla sugar/ 10 g
1/2 tsp cinnamon
Dough:
300 g flour 00
1/2 bag baking powder/ 5 g
70 g granulated sugar
1 bag vanilla sugar/ 10 g
pinch of salt
1 lemon peel/ grated optional
80 g butter/ diced in cubes
1 big egg
round baking mold 22 cm
Preparation:
Filling:
Wash and peel the apple, grate it.
Transfer to a small saucepan and pour lemon juice over it, add sugar and vanilla sugar, combine everything on a low heat, add cinnamon and mix well.
The filling should be a little creamy.
Set aside to cool while you make the crumble dough.
Dough:
Sift all the flour, baking powder, sugar, vanilla sugar, pinch of salt into a deep bowl and stir all dry ingredients well.
Make a hole in dry ingredients now add diced butter and egg.
Make a crumbly dough by fingers and always add the dry ingredients a little at a time to the center and knead. The dough must crumble between your fingers.
The dough is not mixed, but the dough is combined and separated with the fingers. Finally, crumble once more into smaller crumbs.
Grease the round mold and put baking paper on it.
Divide the dough into two parts, spread one part evenly from the pan, including the sides.
Flatten the dough with the palms of your hands and including the sides so that the filling cannot penetrate.
Spread evenly the filling alternately over the dough.
Spread the rest of the crumbly dough over the entire surface.
Fix it the crumbly dough as needed.
Bake in the oven at 180 °C for about 30-35 minutes.
Leave the cake to cool and sprinkle it with powdered sugar.
You can serve it with vanilla ice cream.

NOTE:
You can also make this cake from apricots or peaches, as well as with a mixture of berries that is cooked with sugar on low heat, for thickness you can add a sheet of gelatin or starch.
Keep the cake in a dry place at room temperature, covered.
