London Chocolate Bars

  • Simple and delicious bars with vanilla and chocolate flavor, ideal for every day. Follow recipe.

Ingredients: simple, total time: 50 min.
  • 250 g of butter

  • 125 g of sugar

  • 375 g of flour

  • 1 egg

  • 1 egg yolk

  • 1 Tablespoon of milk

  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

  • 150 g of dark chocolate

  • 2 Tablespoons of oil

  1. Mix the butter and sugar in a bowl until you get a light mixture.

  2. Add the egg and yolk, mix until the ingredients are well combined.

  3. Add the flour and vanilla extract, mix until you get a smooth dough.

  4. Shape the dough into a roll and wrap it in cling film. Put it in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.

  5. Heat the oven to 180 °C.

  6. Remove the dough from the refrigerator, cut it into 1 cm thick pieces. Place them on a tray lined with baking paper.

  7. Beat the egg yolk and milk and coat the bars before baking.

  8. Bake the bars for about 12–15 minutes until they are golden brown.

  9. While the bars are cooling, melt the chocolate with oil in a steamer or microwave.

  10. When the bars have cooled, dip them in the melted chocolate and place them on a wire rack to harden the chocolate.
