Apple Chopsticks Lena

  • You want to eat something sweet, but relatively quickly, and you only have apples at home. They are the main ingredient of this dessert, and I assume that you always have any others ingredients in the kitchen. A simple and tasty treat that does not require a lot of ingredients. It has an irresistible taste and is quick to prepare. Follow the recipe.

Ingredients: simple, total time 20 min. 27 servings
  • 2 apple medium grated

  • 1 egg

  • 1 slice of lemon for apples

  • 2 Tablespoons of sugar

  • 1 Tablespoon of vanilla sugar

  • 2 Tablespoons of oil

  • 6 Tablespoon of Greek yogurt

  • 400 g flour 00 approx

  • pinch of salt

  • 50 ml of vanilla milk or plain milk is ok

  • 7 g of instant baking powder

  • 200 ml seed oil for frying

  • and 50 g flour for shaping sticks and hands


  • 50 g of sugar

  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon

  1. Prepare all the ingredients listed above.

  2. Grate the apple. When you have grated the apple, squeeze the lemon juice over them and mix the apples well, and set aside.

  3. Put egg, salt, sugar, vanilla sugar in a bowl and beat well with a hand whisk, then add oil and yogurt and beat again well. Add the apples and stir until all the ingredients are well combined.

  4. Mix the flour with the baking powder and add the vanilla milk gradually and alternately, mixing well with a wooden spoon. The dough should be thick and compact, about the same as when you make dumplings. When the dough is well mixed, put the oil to heat up well, It will take you about 8 minutes.

  5. Put flour in a deep plate to make it easier to form sticks.

  6. Take out with the help of a spoon to shape into sticks or half-moon shapes, 2.5 cm or thumb thick, long 7-8 cm.

  7. When the oil has warmed up well, use a spoon to take out the dough and form sticks, like when you make shoufnoodles. If necessary, roll your hands in flour so that they don't lose their shape. Place them in hot oil and fry for about 5 – 6 minutes on each side. They should be golden brown color. Make sure the fire is not too strong, to not burn. I baked them on moderate heat.

  8. Mix the sugar with the cinnamon in a deep plate. As soon as the sticks are fried, roll them in sugar and put them in a deep bowl. Sprinkle the rest of the sugar and cinnamon on them, serve hot or cold, it doesn't matter. They are wonderful!
