Updated: Mar 23

  • How to make a fantastic chicken goulash and without the addition of flour ? Very simple, you will only need a few ingredients to prepare this delicious dish. It is cooked for about 1 hour and 40 minutes. It goes fantastically with polenta, if you don't have it, it can also be boiled potatoes or rice with a garnish of parsley. Follow the recipe.

Ingredients: simple, cooking time: 100 min., 4 servings
  • 6 pieces of chicken wings

  • 6 chicken drumsticks (you can also use drumsticks and drumsticks (3 pieces each)

  • 2 Tablespoons of oil or fat

  • 2 large onions, finely chopped

  • 3 smaller bay leaves

  • 2 large carrots, finely chopped

  • 2 Tablespoons of dried parsnips

  • 2 teaspoons of dry Vegeta seasoning

  • 1 red pepper (chopped and blended)

  • 2 teaspoons of ground paprika powder

  • 200 ml of peeled tomatoes

  • salt and pepper to taste

  • water as needed, the measure is 150 ml /4-5 times

Preparation:
  1. First, prepare all the vegetables as described above and prepare the ingredients next to it. When you have done that, clean the chicken meat from the skin and separate the drumsticks from the wings.

  2. You will need a large pot. Pour the chopped onion and oil and stir well, turn on a slightly moderate heat. Stew the onion until it has a glassy appearance, add chopped carrots, parsnips, 2 teaspoons of dry /Vegeta seasoning and 3 small bay leaves. Stew it for about 2 minutes, after that, add the chicken drumsticks and wings that you have prepared, stir them and simmer for about 2 minutes. Add 150 ml of water and cover the pot. Cook for about 60 minutes, stirring occasionally, with adding the same amount of water as needed.(water is always added when the dish starts to boil!)

  3. After that, take out the chicken meat and the bay leaf. Pour the blended paprika into the pot and add 2 teaspoons of allspice. Blend the sauce in a pot so that you get a thick mixture. After that, add 200 ml of tomato paste and stir. If necessary, add water to the desired thickness.

  4. Leave the meat to cool and separate it from the bones. Return the shredded meat and bay leaf to the pot and stir well, ingredients. Add salt and pepper to taste. Cook for another 40 minutes with the addition of water as needed. Don't forget to always add water a little at a time because that way we will always determine the thickness of the goulash we want!

  5. When the chicken stew is ready, serve it with polenta and a piece of bread. If you don't have polenta, it can be served with boiled potatoes or rice. Buon appetito!
