Crumble Cranberry Jam Cake

Ingredients: simple, total time: 80 min.
  • 180 g of butter/ room temperature

  • 10 g of baking powder

  • 350 g of flour

  • 50 g of sugar

  • 1 egg

  • a pinch of salt

  • 200 g of cranberry jam

  • powdered sugar

Preparation:
  1. Mix butter that has been at room temperature with sugar, add egg and beat until foamy, then gradually add flour mixed with baking powder

  2. Knead the dough, and divide it into two parts, one smaller ball and the other a little bigger. Leave the smaller one in the fridge to rest for 30 minutes.

  3. Pour most of the dough into the greased mold. Prick the dough with a fork. Spread the jam and flatten the chilled dough and join it evenly over the jam. Prick the dough again with a fork.

  4. Put the cake in a preheated oven at 180 °C to bake for about 30 minutes. Check the dough with a toothpick.

  5. Serve with powdered sugar or with vanilla cream, when the cake has completely cooled. Serve! Buon appetito!

NOTE: You can also combine this cake with cranberry or blackcurrant.
