Snails with Nuts Lena

  • Sweet snails with walnuts are a phenomenal treat and very easy to prepare, very tasty and juicy. Here is one of my recipe. Follow instructions.

Ingredients: simple, total time: 80 min.

Dough:

  • 500 g flour

  • 6 Tbsp sugar

  • 300 g margarine or butter

  • 30 g yeast

  • 6 Tbsp milk

  • 6 tsp sugar

Stuffing:

  • 4 egg whites

  • 200 g powdered sugar

  • 200 g ground walnuts

Preparation:
  1. For the yeast, mix 30 g of yeast, 6 tablespoons of milk and 6 teaspoons of sugar, sprinkle a little flour and leave to rise 15 min.

  2. For the dough, mix all the ingredients and add the risen yeast and knead the dough, leave the dough in the cold for 30 minutes.

  3. For the filling, beat the egg whites into the slices and gradually add sugar and walnuts, roll out the dough, roll in the filling and roll and cut into slices 5-6 mm thick.

Bake at 180 °C for 20 min. it must not be dark.

2. Recipe of Snails with Walnuts
Ingredients: simple, total time: 80 min.

Dough:

  • 400 g flour

  • 250 g butter

  • 2 egg yolks

  • 20 g vanilla sugar

Raising Yeast:

  • 100 ml milk

  • 1 teaspoon sugar

  • 20 g fresh yeast

Filling:

  • 2 egg whites

  • 100 g crystal sugar

  • 150 ground walnuts

NOTE: This recipe uses the same working method as the first recipe, only the quantities are different!
