Spaghetti with Anchovies in Tomato Sauce

  • Here is a fantastic and beautiful recipe with anchovies. It is an Italian meal, quite often eaten in Sicily. It is very easy to prepare and ready quickly. The taste is incredible and makes the Mediterranean one. It is very important to choose the salsa you buy, I advise you to take it with less sugar, because the taste of this meal depends on it. Follow recipe.

Ingredients: simple, total time: 35 min.
  • 250 g spaghetti

  • 7 pieces anchovies

  • 1/2 onion, finely chopped

  • 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped

  • 170 ml tomato paste

  • salt and pepper to taste

  • 1–2 teaspoons oregano

  • a pinch of sugar

  • 2 Tablespoons of olive EVO

Addition:

  • grated Parmesan cheese, if you like

  • olive, optional

Preparation:
  1. Put 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a deep-frying pan and wait for it to heat over a slightly moderate heat.

  2. Add the chopped onion and garlic and let it simmer for about 2 minutes.

  3. Add the anchovies and let it simmer for about 2 minutes, crush them a little with a fork add 50 ml of water, mix well.

  4. Then add the tomato paste, mix, add spices, oregano, and pepper and a little sugar.

  5. Control the sauce if necessary add a little salt, be careful not to over salt because anchovies are otherwise very salty.

  6. Mix everything well and let it simmer for about 15 minutes until it gets a tomato sauce on the density. If necessary, add a little water.

  7. Put spaghetti cooked and drained in salsa, add 1 tablespoon of water in which the pasta was cooked and mix well, turn off the heat after 1 minute and serve warm in plates with grated Parmesan if you want and with olives.
