Lemon Kuglof

  • Fantastic, fragrant and delicious lemon kuglof cake. Ideal for Christmas and New Year holidays and even others. It is a very simple procedure and preparation of cakes, and it is ready very quickly. It is very decorative and most importantly it is very tasty and soft. Follow recipe.

Ingredients: easy, total time: 75 minutes, 10 serving
  • 300 g butter or margarine

  • 200 g sugar

  • 1 bag of vanilla sugar/ 10 g

  • 5 eggs

  • 1 ampule of lemon aroma

  • 1/2 grated lemon zest

  • 500 g flour

  • 1 bag baking powder/ 10 g

  • 6 Tablespoons milk

  • 1/2 Tbsp of breadcrumbs

  1. Whisk the butter, adding the sugar with the vanilla sugar gradually. Add eggs one at a time, stirring every two minutes or so.

  2. Stir everything at the lowest speed. Slowly add lemon, aroma, zest, 2/3 flour and milk.

  3. Add flour and milk alternately.

  4. Finally, mix the rest of the flour with the baking powder.

  5. Coat the mold with melted fat and sprinkle well with breadcrumbs (bread crumbs) and hand out the mixture.

  6. Preheat the oven to 175 °C and place the kuglof to bake.

  7. Bake for about 50–60 minutes. Check the dough with a toothpick.

  8. Leave the finished kuglof in the mold for about 10 minutes, turn it over on a plate and sprinkle it well with powdered sugar when it is cold. Serve slices. Buon appetito!
