Rizi Bizi Lena, My Way

  • This is a Rizi Bizi as I love to prepare. Since I am a big fan of carrots, I can't exclude it from rice because it gives a wonderful and fantastic taste! Especially in addition with weed dill that has its incredibly good and aromatic smell, otherwise it is very healthy! In fact, this is one of my favorite Rizi Bizi preparations. Let's say it's the Serbian way, and believe me, this recipe is very good! Follow recipe.

Ingredients: total time 30 min., very easy, 2 persons
  • 500 g of young peas/ cleaned and washed

  • 1 carrot/ finely chopped in cubes

  • 1 cup Macedonian rice cup -200 ml

  • 30 g butter

  • 1 onion/ finely chopped

  • fresh primrose finely chopped

  • 1 Tablespoon weed dill

  • salt and pepper to taste

  • dry spice/Vegeta

  • 3 cups of water-200 ml cup

  • Parmesan Cheese grated if you like/ optional

Preparation:
  1. Finely chop the onion, carrot into small cubes and put the olive oil in a deep medium pot, to simmer for 2–3 minutes on a moderately low heat.

  2. Put the cleaned and washed young peas in a strainer to drain well.

  3. After a few minutes, add the rice that you have previously washed well at least 7 times. Leave to fry for 2 minutes and stir, then add the young peas well drained, season with dry spice/ Vegeta, add little salt and pepper, pour the first glass of water and let it simmer and cover pot.

  4. As soon as the water has evaporated, and the rice has already started to swell, add another glass of water and let it work for 10 minutes, and then add a third glass of water, finely chopped parsley and weed dill.

  5. Just before the end, when the rice has softened, add butter and stir to cook for 1–2 minutes and turn off the heat.

  6. Serve warm in the plate and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese if you like, with some meat or sausages, or you can serve it like this as a main dish. Buon appetito!
