Serbian Gibanica Lena

  • The best Serbian pie with old cream and fresh cow's salt cheese, phenomenal taste and easy to make, eaten for breakfast or dinner hot and cold. Follow recipe.

Ingredients: simple, total time: 50 min.
  • 500 g of thin bark

  • 300 g of cheese

  • 2 cups oil

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 cup sour cream or old cream

  • a little salt if the cheese is not salty

  1. Beat eggs with a little sour water, then add oil, grated cheese and sour cream, stir well.

  2. Take a bowl in which you will bake gibanica-pie, grease it with oil and dilute 1 crust. Then coat it with oil and two crumpled crusts dipped in the filling and spread them on the baking tray and add another 1 tablespoon of the filling and spread on the crusts. So arrange all the way to the top 1 + 2 stuffing until you reach the end of the material, so that the last crust is without anything and just coat it with oil.

  3. Bake the gibanica-pie at a moderate temperature of 180 °C for 30–35 minutes. Serve while warm, with some yogurt or sour milk. Buon appetito!

NOTE: This is one of the ways I make gibanica-pie, and it is very simple and delicious!

If you want a less crunchy gibanica and soft pie, then after baking, sprinkle with a little water or mineral water if you want!
