Baklava with Poppy Seeds

  • Have you ever made poppy seed baklava? You haven't… well, here's a wonderful recipe with store-bought thin crusts. The cake is made quickly and easily, in just a few minutes you will have a soft, crunchy delicious treat of this cake. Poppy seeds in a simple way like pie. You will want to do. Follow recipe.

Ingredients: cup 200 ml, simple, total time: 55 min.
  • 250 g of ground poppy seeds

  • 4 eggs

  • 1 cup of each/ oil, yogurt, and sugar/200 ml

  • 1 bag baking powder/ 10 g


  • 500 g pie crust


For Topping-Syrup

  • 1 lemon

  • 2 cups sugar/ 400 g

  • and

  • 2 glasses of water/ 400 ml

  1. Beat eggs with sugar-gradually add, other ingredients (oil yogurt and sugar, poppy seeds, baking powder).

  2. Oil the baking tray, arrange the crusts.

  3. Coat them with fill.

  4. Coat the last row with oil. Finally cut into cubes.

  5. Preheat the oven to 250 °C, reduce to 230 – and bake for 15 minutes in the middle of the oven.

  6. Increase to 250 °C – bake for another 10 minutes.

  7. While the baklava of poppy seeds is baking, boil the sugar with water and sliced lemon.

  8. When the syrup boils and the sugar melts, it's over.

  9. Pour syrup over the finished hot baklava. Enjoy in bites!
