Bolognese Sauce Recipe

  • Bolognese sauce is an Italian meat sauce that is made from minced meat, grated onion, tomato purée, garlic paste, oregano, olive oil, etc. But it isn't original recipe Italian. This is a universal recipe.

Ingredients: simple, total time 60 min.
  • 500 g (minced mutton)

  • 1/2 cup onion, grated

  • 1/2 tsp garlic paste

  • 2 cups tomato purée

  • to taste salt and sugar

  • 1 tsp chili powder

  • 1 tsp dry oregano and basil

  • 2 Tbsp olive oil

Preparation:
  1. Heat olive oil and sauté garlic, onion and minced meat till cooked through, about 20 min. with cover lid and occasional stirring.

  2. Add the tomato purée, salt, 1/2 tsp sugar, chili powder, oregano, basil, and simmer for another 25 min.

  3. Pour this sauce over the cooked pasta and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese if desired. Buon appetito!

NOTE: You can pack the leftover sauce prepared in this way into containers and put it in the freezer. When you take them out, add a little tomato paste, and a little water if needed, cook on medium heat until well combined.
