## Quick and Easy Mashed Potatoes for Fasting Days

  • If you are fasting and want to make mashed potatoes, this recipe is ideal for you. It makes very easily and quickly. Let's make it together! Follow recipe.

Ingredients: simple, total time: 36 minutes, 4 serving
  • 5 medium white potatoes/ peeled and diced

  • 20 g lean butter/or margarine

  • 120-140 ml hot liquid from potatoes

  • 1 tsp salt

Preparation:
  1. Peel the potatoes and clean them of all impurities and wash them well.

  2. Cut into smaller pieces and put them in a medium saucepan, cover with cold water, stir to release the starch and discard the liquid.

  3. Pour the water over again just enough to cover the potatoes, add a teaspoon of salt and cook on moderate heat for about 25 minutes.

  4. After the elapsed time, extract about 100 ml of the liquid in which the potatoes were cooked, then strain well.

  5. Take a fork and mash the potatoes first, add salt and hot water, mix everything well with a mixer, until uniform without lumps

  6. Serve immediately warmed with steaks or other meat and salads.

NOTE:
  • Do not reheat the purée, but take it out 2 hours earlier so that it can adjust to room temperature. Before use, just mash and add about 50 ml of warm water.
