Moussaka with Sausage and Potatoes

Updated: Feb 15

  • Moussaka is originally from Greece, and you can make it in several ways. You can make it with potatoes, meat and vegetables, and this is one of my nice and simple recipe, so I also designed moussaka with sausage and a boiled egg. I think you will like the recipe. Follow instructions.

Ingredients: 35×25 tray, simple, cooking time: 60 min, 4 servings
  • 1 kg of potatoes boiled

  • 5 boiled eggs

  • 2 pairs of sausages in total 4 pieces/Carniola sausage

  • salt and pepper to taste

  • oil

For dressing:

  • 3 sour cream /600 ml total

  • 1 scrambled egg

  • 2 tsp dry parsley

  • 3 red-hot peppers

Preparation:
  1. Boil the potatoes 15 minutes and cut them into thin rings.

  2. Boil the eggs, so that the hard-boiled eggs are well cooked, then fry the sausages, and cut them into rings.

  3. Grease the baking tray with oil, arrange a row of potatoes, season it, then a row of sausages, then boiled hard cooking eggs and season it. Arrange in a row until you run out of material.

  4. Finally, add salt and pepper as desired and taste.

  5. Make the topping for moussaka by whisking (sour cream, eggs, parsley, add a little salt and pepper to taste) and finally decorate with hot peppers in piece on the top.

  6. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for about 25–30 minutes. Serve warm in plates. If you want and like sour cream, you can add it to the crust separately, although I don't think it's necessary.

Buon appetito!
