## Indulge in Lena's Walnut and Chocolate Wafer Delight
Wafer with walnuts and chocolate: an exceptional combination and a simple recipe from my grandmother, a true culinary expert. This dessert is perfect for any occasion, with a preparation that is both easy and swift. Follow the recipe.
Ingredients: simple, total time: 35 min.
4 sheets of wafer
5 cups milk
5 cups sugar/ or less
150 g of soft butter/ or margarine
200 g of chocolate to taste
200 g of ground walnuts
Preparation:
On a moderate heat, put milk and sugar to boil in a medium saucepan
When the milk starts to boil and the sugar has melted, add butter or the margarine and stir to melt it and combine well.
Remove the pot from the heat and add the chocolate, stir to melt it as well and mix with the ground walnuts and mix well with a spoon and leave the filling to cool.
While the filling is lukewarm, you can coat the wafers.
Fill each wafer and flatten the filling.
On the last wafer crust put something heavier over the wafers to form well and cut into cubes the next day and serve when well set and cool.
Buon appetito!
NOTE:
You can decorate the wafers in various ways with melted chocolate, only on one side, and then with walnuts, so the wafer gets a slightly nicer look.
Wafers are simple cakes, but it is very important to follow the recipe and do it properly. In case the filling is thinner, add a little more walnuts and then check the density of the filling.
It is not good for the wafer to be a thin filling, then the crust of the wafer absorbs the filling and it is not so good.
In case the filling is thick, then add a couple of spoons of water or milk.
Keep the wafer cool in the pantry or covered on the terrace.
