Healthy Breakfast of Quinoa

  • A great breakfast meal full of fiber, protein, calcium, and vitamins. Breakfast is the most important thing to bring strength for the next few hours, I recommend this healthy meal with which you will also lose weight. Follow recipe.

Ingredients: very easy, 10 min., 1 serving
  • 2 teaspoons chia seeds

  • 3 Tablespoons water/ or almond milk

  • 45 g quinoa

  • 100 ml of almond milk

  • 120 ml of water

  • 1 smaller/or 1/2 large banana

  • 2 Tablespoons frozen red fruit/ strawberry, raspberry, blackberry

  • 1 teaspoon honey

  • 1 Tablespoon coarsely chopped almonds

Preparation:
  1. The night before preparing breakfast, pour two teaspoons of chia seeds with three tablespoons of water (or almond milk), stir and leave to swell overnight.

  2. Rinse the quinoa well underwater so that it is not bitter.

  3. Put it in a pan together with milk and water and heat on a medium heat until it boils, then reduce the temperature and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 20 minutes, until almost all the liquid has evaporated.

  4. In the meantime, coarsely chop the almonds and mash the banana with a fork, leaving a few rings to decorate.

  5. Stir the crushed banana into the cooked quinoa, then the frozen red fruit (you can chop the larger pieces a little beforehand), a teaspoon of honey and finally the chia seeds.

  6. Mix everything well and transfer to a serving bowl.

  7. Sprinkle with chopped almonds and fresh fruit.

  8. Pour a little more honey if desired. Buon appetito!
