Leskovac Meat Donuts

  • Delicious balls of minced meat, with the addition of bacon and cheese, a specialty from Leskovac, city from Serbia cuisine. Ideally, they should be grilled ;). Very delicious !!!! Follow recipe.

Ingredients: simple, total time: 40 min., 4 servings
  • 1 kg of minced meat/ beef or other

  • 200 g smoked bacon or ham/ cut into little cubes

  • 200 g Trappist cheese

  • 3 cloves garlic/ finely chopped

  • salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1 tsp red-hot ground pepper/ or 1 tsp flakes of hot pepper

Preparation:
  1. Cut the bacon and cheese into little cubes and finely add chop the garlic.

  2. Mix it well, add minced meat mixed with baking powder, salt, pepper, red-hot ground pepper.

  3. Mix everything well to make the mass compact.

  4. Then take it out with a spoon make a shape, the shape should not be the correct shape, press it into the ball with your hands and make it irregularly shaped :)

  5. Bake in hot oil and put them ready on kitchen paper to absorb excess fat.

  6. The meat donuts are ready when they get a deep brown color!

  7. Serve with baked potatoes and salad.
