Updated: Mar 6

  • Pie with meat and potatoes is phenomenally delicious, ideal for dinner and breakfast, even on festive occasions, as an appetizer. It is very easy to prepare. Follow recipe.

Ingredients: simple, total time: 70 min.
  • 500 g pie thin or thicker crust

  • 500 g of minced meat

  • 2 larger potatoes/ grated

  • 2 onions/ finely chopped

  • stewing oil

  • salt, pepper, and spices to taste

Topping over the pie:

  • 4 eggs

  • 1 cup acidic water/200 ml

  • salt to taste

Preparation:
  1. Peel potatoes, grate it and squeeze the juice.

  2. Cut the onion into small pieces and deep-fry in a little oil, then put the minced meat and mix well and simmer until it softens a little, water comes out of the meat, add the potatoes.

  3. Add pepper and salt to taste and mix well.

  4. Simmer all 5 minutes all together. After that, take an oiled pan, put two crusts on the bottom sprinkled with oil or spread oil on the crust with a brush. Let these crusts protrude from the pan, as you will fold them later.

  5. Now put 4 tablespoons on these crusts, 4 spoons are enough, coat every second crust with the filling until you use up the material.

  6. Then fold the pie with the crusts sticking out of the pan, tuck the crust with your hands on the side, then cut the pie into rolls.

  7. Now start making the pie topping, when you have mixed everything well, pour the pie over and shake the pan a little so that the topping enters every pore of the crust. Let the pie stand for 15 minutes, during which time turns on the oven to 220, °C. Cover the pie with aluminum foil and bake for 10 minutes, then reduce the oven to 200 °C, bake the pie for 20 minutes. Then remove the aluminum foil and bake for another 10 minutes until you get a nice golden brown color of the crust.

  8. Serve hot or cold with yogurt, for breakfast or dinner. Buon appetito!
