Corn Bread without Eggs

Ingredients: cup 200 ml, simple, total time: 35 min. 8 servings
  • 2 cups corn flour

  • 2 cups wheat flour

  • 1 bag of baking powder/10 g

  • a cup of oil

  • 150 g cheese (feta)

  • 200 ml yogurt

  • a cup of acidic water

  • a little salt

  1. Prick the cheese well beforehand with a fork. Beat the eggs well and add all the remaining ingredients. Mix all ingredients well. Put a spoonful of fat in the pan and put it in a hot oven to melt well. That way you get that wonderful crispy part of the crust, so take out the pan and pour the mixture and flatten it, sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.

  2. Bake at 220 °C, 25-30 min.

2. Recipe of Corn Bread — Proja without eggs
  • 400 g of coarsely ground corn flour

  • 220 ml of lukewarm water in which + 1/2 bag- 5 g /of baking powder is stirred

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1-2 Tbsp lard

  1. Pour about 200 ml of lukewarm water with whipped baking powder and 1 teaspoon of salt into 400 g of corn flour. The dough should be crumbly, slightly thicker than the pancake batter.

  2. Mix it with a food processor and pour it into a pan greased with fat (if you are fasting, use vegetable oil instead of fat). Put it in a preheated oven at 230 °C, and bake for about 15–20 minutes, that is, until a dark brown crust is caught on the surface.
