Onion Rings with Paprika, simple and delicious recipe

  • Fantastic taste of smoked paprika on onion rings fried and rolled in breadcrumbs. The recipe is easy and simple. Follow the recipe.

Ingredients: cup 170 ml., simple, total time: 30 min., 6 servings
  • 1 large onion/ cut on rings separated/7 mm

Dry Components:

  • 1/2 cup of flour

  • 8 g baking powder/1 Tbsp

  • 8 g smoked ground paprika/ 1 Tbsp

  • breadcrumbs to coat

  • oil for frying 1/3 of pan

Mixture Components:

  • 1 egg

  • 180 ml milk

  • 1 teaspoon of ground pepper/ 5 g

  • 1 teaspoon salt/ 5 g

Preparation:
  1. Clean the onion from the skin and cut it into rings 7 mm thick, and carefully separate each part of the ring and place it on a larger plate.

  2. Mix dry ingredients flour, baking soda, salt, and pepper in a small deep bowl. Roll each roll in this mixture and set aside.

  3. In another deep bowl, beat the egg, milk, salt, and pepper and add the rest of the previous dry mixture. Mix all the ingredients well.

  4. After that, roll the rings in this mixture and shake off the excess mixture and finally roll them in a plate with breadcrumbs, put the rings on the plate before baking.

  5. Fry in hot oil or deep fryer for about 2–3 minutes, until are they golden brown.

  6. Place them on a plate lined with a paper towel to drain the grease.

  7. Serve as an appetizer or side dish with spreads such as mayonnaise, ketchup, or any other that goes with hamburgers. Buon appetito!

NOTE: Instead of crumbs, you can also use semolina!
