Slightly Hot Pindjur-Ajvar

  • Wonderful homemade pindjur, mildly spicy, similar to ajvar, very easy to prepare and make. It is excellent for adding to food, as a coating, for burgers, kebabs-ćevapi and others. For this you will need a little love and more will to do for your dear housemates, who will be the first to rejoice. Follow recipe.

  • 4 kg of red peppers for ajvar (red horn)/ diced

  • 2 kg of peeled tomatoes/ diced

  • 1/2 head of garlic/ finely chopped

  • 1 large bunch of parsley leaves/ finely chopped

  • 2 level Tablespoons of salt

  • 4 Tablespoons of sugar

  • 250 ml of oil

  • 50 ml of vinegar

  • 2 hot peppers/ finely chopped

  • spreads a bigger pot, wooden spoon, jars.

  1. Roast the pepper on the grill. Peel it and chop it into small pieces (do not grind).

  2. Chop the peeled tomato and put it on lightly heated oil. Add finely chopped garlic to it and cook until the tomato is soft, add chopped pepper, chopped parsley, vinegar, salt, sugar, chopped spicy peppers and cook for about 1 hour until it gets a nice thickness.

  3. Fill the sterile jars, which should be hermetically sealed.

  4. This is the measure for one round, it is usually enough for us, we get about 11 small bottles of 300 ml. If you want more, double the amount of ingredients for a larger quantity. Enjoy in bites!
