Alfredo Pasta with Mediterranean flavor

## Unique Mediterranean Twist on Alfredo Pasta: Chicken and Smoked Salmon Delight

  • Alfredo Pasta differently, the taste of Mediterranean cuisine in my own way. A wonderful combination of chicken pieces meat in Alfredo sauce with the taste of smoked salmon. The dish is prepared very quickly and easily, ready in just 25 minutes. Follow recipe.

Ingredients: simple, total time: 25 min., 2-3 servings
  • 250 g thin tagliatelle with egg

  • 600 g ready-made fried chicken pieces/ or chicken breast cut into pieces 5 mm

  • 3 Tbsp Olive oil EVO/ as needed

  • 3–4 cloves of garlic/ minced

  • 50 g butter

  • 500 ml salmon cream

  • 6-7 Tbsp Parmesan cheese/ grated

  • 1 Tbsp neutral cheese

  • 1 Tbsp flour + 50 ml water

  • 250 ml pasta liquid

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper/ or to taste

  • 1/2 tsp each basil and oregano

Preparation:
  1. First, prepare all the ingredients as described above.

  2. Prepare the pasta first. Cook according to the instructions.

  3. Pour 250 ml pasta liquid into a glass, you will need it later, leave the pasta covered in a bowl.

  4. If you bought pre-prepared chicken breasts, wash them and cut them and dry with kitchen towel. Cut into 5 mm thick steaks.

  5. Season with salt and pepper and fry them to moderate heat in olive oil until golden brown on both sides. Let them cool, then cut them into smaller pieces.

  6. If you already have a ready-made package prepared in pieces, fry them for a few minutes in a pan, until golden brown, then set them aside and cover.

  7. In the same deep pan, pour the butter and wait for it to melt on a low heat.

  8. Meanwhile, mix the salmon cream, grated Parmesan cheese, and neutral cheese. Set aside.

  9. In another cup, add flour and 50 ml of water and mix.

  10. Add the minced garlic and stir until fragrant to low moderate heat.

  11. Pour the mixture of salmon cream, Parmesan cheese, and neutral cheese, stir well.

  12. Now add the flour mixed with water and add the liquid from the cooked pasta.

  13. Return the chicken pieces, and season with salt, black pepper and herbs.

  14. Cook for another 5–7 minutes.

  15. If the sauce is too thick, add a little more water.

  16. Serve warm in plate with pasta, pour over sauce with chicken pieces, then sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.

NOTE:
  • Instead of chicken, you can also use turkey white meat.

  • I advise if you want to leave the sauce for tomorrow, do not mix the pasta with the sauce, just cook the pasta for tomorrow separately. When heating this sauce, you can add a little liquid to the dough, because during the night this sauce hardens.

  • Keep covered in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
