Fried hake from the oven is a fantastic preparation that is fast and very simple, without spending a lot of time in the kitchen. You can combine it with baked potatoes or boiled potatoes with Swiss chard or potato salad. If you are in a hurry, you can also prepare it in a Pan or in grill. Hake is very delicious and juicy. Follow the recipe.
Ingredients: simple, total time: 30 min. 4 serving
4 whole Hake, about 1. 2 kg
180 ml Olive oil EVO
1/2 salt
1 tsp dry spice Vegeta
4-5 Tbsp flour
2 tsp red ground paprika
2 Tbsp corn flour/ optional
For Topping:
1 lemon
2 Tbsp parsley leaves/ finely chopped
3 cloves of garlic/ minced
100 ml Olive oil EVO
Preparation:
Leave the fish to thaw for a couple of hours or overnight.
Cut the fins with a knife or scissors, clean the fish from the scales, wash the fish, then clean the entrails and cut upright into larger pieces, (you cut into pieces, not fillets!). Discard the fish head.
Dry the fish with towels, then salt to taste.
In a deep plate, mix 5 Tbsp flour, 1/2 tsp salt, 2 tsp red ground paprika, and 1 tsp dry spice Vegeta. If you want, you can add corn flour.
Pour about 100 ml of oil on the bottom of the pan approximately to cover the bottom, and put it in the oven to heat up the oil a little.
During this time, roll each piece of fish in a mixture of flour and spices, then arrange on a baking sheet.
Spray the fish with a little oil, about 20 ml.
Bake the fish in an oven heated to 180°C for 15–17 minutes.
Remove the tray from the oven, turn the fish to the other side, and bake for another 15 minutes.
You can also fry them in a non-stick pan if you want.
Fry in olive oil until all sides are golden.
Serve warm with your desired side dish.
Buon appetito!
NOTE:
Keep the rest of the fish covered in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
